School Support

Teachers and School Leaders from Alliance schools are currently involved in a number of collaborations and support projects with schools both in and outside of the Alliance.

Pupil Premium

School Leaders from Alliance schools run a number of "hubs" with special interest in different aspects of developing the effectiveness of the Pupil Premium such as High Impact Interventions, Using Pupil Premium effectively in schools with low numbers of children in receipt of Pupil Premium and How to measure the effect of non-academic interventions.

We are running a number of courses for senior and middle leaders on the effective leadership of Pupil Premium. To date, nearly 50 schools have taken advantage of a one to one review of their use of Pupil Premium with a leader from the Alliance. Training Courses

Outstanding teachers and leaders from Alliance schools have led effective and well received courses for teachers across the Alliance on SEND and EYFS practice.  A wide range of courses are delivered across the year, especially the "Wider Intervention" courses in developing reading led by Megan Dixon from our ECAR department.

Specialist Leaders in Education

We currently have SLEs who have expertise in Maths, Leadership, Pupil Premium, Early Years, PE, Computing, SEN, Literacy and Oracy, Maths and Assessment; these SLEs are available to be commissioned by schools; for more information please click HERE.

Local Leaders in Education

LLEs have made and continue to make a significant contribution to supporting schools since the programme was introduced in 2008. LLEs provide a range of school-to-school support and coaching and mentoring for head teachers; for more information please click HERE.

National Leaders in Education

NLEs are strong school leaders, who have experience of effectively supporting schools in challenging circumstances. NLEs work alongside teaching schools and other system leaders to provide high quality support to those who need it most.
