CPD and Developing Leaders
CPD Core Teaching Alliance Aim
To identify and co-ordinate expertise from across the alliance, using exemplary teachers and leaders to provide high quality training and leadership development for staff across the local area, in order to support the achievement of excellent learner outcomes.
Developing Leaders Core Teaching Alliance Aim
To ensure that our most talented people are given leadership opportunities which will strengthen schools and create future capacity.
We have been working hard to redesign our CPD programme, to take teachers all the way from Initial Teacher Training through to System Leadership. We have identified 10 career stages and have then reviewed the CPD which we will offer at each stage.
The 10 Stages are as follows: |

Stage 3 | RQT and Early Career Support and Development Programme |
Stage 4 | Middle Leadership/ NPQML |
Stage 5 | Moving from Middle to Senior Leadership |
Stage 6 | Senior Leadership/NPQSL |
Stage 7 | Thinking About and Preparing For Headship |
Stage 8 | Headship Development/NPQH |
Stage 9 | New to Headship Support and Development Programme |
