What We Do
The Aspirer Teaching Alliance is a Primary led collaboration between schools in Cheshire East and surrounding boroughs, led by Ash Grove Academy in Macclesfield. Our ethos is simply to improve outcomes for all young people, especially those from more challenging circumstances. Since being designated a Teaching School in April 2014, we have made great strides in developing the "Big 3" aspects of Teaching Schools; click on the links below to find out more about what we do:
- School Direct and Initial Teacher Training
- Using evidence based CPD to train and equip teaching staff
- Supporting schools at different stages of their journey
In 2016 Aspirer was designated on of the very first National Research Schools. Research Schools aim to lead the way in the use of evidence-based practice by sharing what they know about putting research into practice, and supporting schools in their region to make better use of evidence to inform their teaching and learning so that they really make a difference in the classroom.
